About

For me, pigeon is the pose where feelings bubble up, where insights or realizations come out. Like a carrier pigeon delivering a message. Pigeons have an amazing homing mechanism, and yoga is a way for me to come home to myself.

The hope is that this blog will in some sense approximate or replicate the experience of your pigeon pose. A stretch that presents a challenge and leaves you feeling satisfied and keeps your coming back for more.

My aim is to celebrate what yoga offers us while debunking myths and challenging the community to think critically about how and why we practice.

About Me

I’m a recently-certified RYT200 teaching Vinyasa flow classes in Southern Vermont.  I came to yoga during a major life crisis. The practice helped me recognize and begin to work through Complex PTSD and I became a teacher to share deepen my own practice and to be able to share yoga’s benefits with others. I believe in the potential of yoga and meditation to heal emotional wounds and bring strength and balance to the mind as well as the body.  I strive to create a safe and supportive atmosphere where yoga is accessible to every body and folks are encouraged to challenge themselves, try new things, and make each class their own. In her spare time, I enjoy kayaking, hiking, writing, and working with clay. I'm passionate about social justice and radical mental health. I live in the woods in Southern Vermont.

Stay tuned for info on my teaching schedule and how to sign up for a private session. I’m planning some workshops and other offerings, too. Details soon!
